Homeland Security Group International, Inc. Reports Positive Test Results from Moldable Bulletproof Composite
Thursday December 15, 6:00 am ET

DEL MAR, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 2005--Colonel Jeffrey A. Powers, CEO of Homeland Security Group International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HMSG - News) announced today initial testing of a potentially revolutionary new bulletproof material has been completed. Through Police Training Consultants, LLC and its founder Ron Frigulti (HMSG Military Advisory Member), HMSG has been working with an undisclosed composite material research and development company to formulate a lightweight, moldable, composite material with significant bulletproofing capability. Initial testing of the 1/4-inch composite material stopped 9mm rounds from a distance of ten feet. HMSG will be conducting additional testing of this material in order to determine its potential at stopping high velocity munitions, including 5.56mm and 7.62mm. The light weight of the composite material and the company's ability to mold it opens up a wide array of potential uses.

Founder and CEO of Police Training Consultants, LLC (PTC) Ron Frigulti, will assist HMSG in designing the further ballistics testing and will be working with the team of scientists at the composite manufacturing firm to further refine and improve the composite material. HMSG anticipates further data will be available in early 2006.

"In 2004, Ceradyne, Inc. received over $450 million in orders for Ceramic SAPI plates (Small Arms Protective Plates) from the US military. Another industry leader, Armor Holdings, has reported similarly sized orders for up-armoring military vehicles and providing body armor. Our research from active military units in Iraq and Afghanistan has resulted in HMSG collectively positioning the company to devote substantial resources in the sector for 2006," commented Colonel Jeffrey Powers, CEO, HMSG. "The current technology has been proven to be extremely effective and has saved many lives in combat. Improvements can clearly be made in this entire arena by creating products that can be molded or shaped for specific uses. Utilization in vehicle protection, aircraft, water craft, and body-worn applications are ready markets for a lighter, moldable, bulletproof material that can be quickly and cost-effectively incorporated into the military units' urban combat operations," concluded Colonel Powers.
