Again - this is the point I am trying to get you to explain away - when their control and power and influence and military faded " Then Soviet military power didn't really fade. It was internal political will and economic collapse. The Swiss spend much less on their military the US or the former Soviets but their currency has held value better than either currency. The rest of your comments may be fodder for another discussion but I would like to stay on topic.
