I was impressed by the XM demonstration in Wally World. The Sirius product sat there with the higher price, while the XM product leaped off the shelf with the help of product demonstrators paid for by XM. Sirius needs to turn off Howard Stern, take a cold shower and get back to marketing, merchandising and selling their product.

It was a nice run from my post a few years ago when nobody wanted it. And with the super high float, you cannot expect it to become a high flier. It is already bloated. I don't think they have what it takes to win this toe-to-toe. Long term, there are substantial risks from unknown products. Ipods and cell phones are giving you exactly the music you want. Only a short step away from being able to be burst current data, news, weather, sports info to make them constantly relevant. . . thus becoming direct competition to satellite radio.

Now satellite television, coupled with simultaneous broadband wireless internet that fits in my pocket would sure pique my interest. OK, I can dream can't I?
