"doesn't mean that you want deficits" It does show a cavalier attitude about placing burdons on the next generation instead of opportunities. No it doesn't. Its a comparative not an absolute statement. It compares two things and says one is worse than the other. It doesn't say much about how bad either thing is. For example you could make that statement if you thought that deficits would lead to a horrible disaster, as long as you thought "kruganomics" would lead to a disaster of colossal proportions. Tim
