Another Intel court loss:

They keep trying to cover up their crimes, but the facts are coming out, anyway.

It's just my IMHO, but when the dust settles I expect a $10 Billion Award from Intel to AMD that will be reduced on appeal to about $3 Billion (which is a large part of AMD's direct losses attributable to Intel's use of extortion to exclude AMD from markets thereby reducing AMD's average selling prices for equivalent products). Intel's first bond issue raised almost half of what they'll likely end up paying to AMD. Again, IMHO only.

Intel's strategy of delaying the US case means AMD's US case will begin hearings shortly after an Intel conviction in Japan.

Fair Trade Commission of Japan to Turn over Evidence Collected in Its Investigation of Intel K.K. by March 17, 2006

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 2005--Tokyo District Court today required the disclosure of evidence collected by the Fair Trade Commission of Japan (JFTC) during its investigation of Intel K.K. ("Intel") for violating the country's Antimonopoly Act. The evidence, discovered in raids of Intel K.K. offices as well as major Japanese OEM manufacturers in April, 2004, formed the basis of the JFTC's Recommendation against Intel. Legal counsel for AMD Japan intend to use the JFTC's evidence as part of its law suit against Intel in Japan, filed June 30th, 2005 (AMD Japan v. Intel K.K.).
