Whenever I see "experts" on TV saying hey, the economy is great, why don't people get it? I want to scream back BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIVE IN THAT ECONOMY THAT'S DOING GREAT, THEY LIVE IN THE OTHER HALF THAT IS LOSING GROUND, DUMMY! Talk about people who just don't get it. And when folks say well, our deficits are no worse than before as a % of GDP, it reminds me of the guy who smoked for 30 years and hasn't died of cancer or a stroke yet. Check out the odds of him making it to 80. Not good. Certainly not compared to someone who quit and tried to get back on a healthier lifestyle before it was too late.
