An article with a strong POV but a lot of interesting points - reflects a lot oy my own unease at the current international scene....

It is something that you can help to do something about. Just as Lindybill is spreading his message on the PFP thread, you could be spreading your message and concerns on this thread.

The difference is that Lindybill is focused on his message. He and his friends are doing a terrific job spreading their message. There seems to be a lot more of Lindybill types than there are people like you or John or Karen.

It doesn't matter that I do not think Lindybills message is good for me, good for America, and even good for Lindybill and his friends over the long run.

Basically, I think Lindybill and his friends are afraid that they can not compete. They don't think they have the brainpower to compete in an open and honest way. That is why they hide behind all this "anti intellectualism". That is why they want to do all these nasty things to people that disagree with them. All this is wrapped up in the flag and phony patriotism.

I strongly disagree with them. I think we can compete. I don't think our competitors have a chance in the open market place to compete against us.

And, the worst part of it is that we are letting small minded people define us. These are people that I do not think understand Western Civilization or who do not care to.

For various reasons I think they are the neocons, the evangelicals, and the George W. Bush types.
