If you are willing to spend many times more than you would for a Jaz or Zip drive and are willing to put up with the much slower data transfer capabilities of the cd-rw . I would say that you could argue that the cd-rw technology would have a future .

BTW it looks like Sony is trying to get into the storage act as well .. The same initial cost and slower data transfer capabilities etc. applies with the Sony product as well .
