There is a popular idea that Hitler was a bad guy, but he was just a reflection of the same attributes in most of the people. It's an excuse to blame him. Germans could pretend it was nothing to do with their nature.

Surrounding me every day are the same characteristics. The USA is full of it too. The Nazis even used water-boarding, which no doubt sounds familiar.

As far as counting is concerned, there were so many people killed and such vast destruction resulting from murderous alpha male kleptocratic territorial tribal dominance hierarchy that another 10 million is neither here nor there.

What's worse is that there are now 6 billion of us lined up for more of the same. Sure, things are hunky dory now. Problems don't happen and vicious character doesn't show when things are hunky dory.

The USA was sold a bill of goods on WMD, WOT and PNAC, and they lapped it up. Now they are getting cold feet and are not so certain. China will gobble up Taiwan like Germany gobbled up Austria and Czechoslovakia. They already have Tibet.

It's the same old tribal megalomania, just a question of degree.

Things are going hunky dory, so the Patriot Act got short shrift: news.yahoo.com But watch this space.
