Or do you not think we are at war The US is at war? WOW. I don't see a draft. I don't see categorisation and sign-up of all males potentially needed as troops. I don't notice the state requisitioning key industries or resources, or even requiring them to work to meet national targets for defence. I don't notice any rationing or preservation of emergency resources. The borders aren't shut. I don't see emergency taxation to cover military needs. And, whoops, I didn't see any declaration of war - except perhaps Iraq (er, where was that declaration again?). Who was it the US declared war on, again? And this was something according to the Constitution, yes? not just giving a party leader unfettered power to do as he wishes? Not just painting anyone opposed to this power as an anti-PATRIOT? No straw men, please. Are you really in a state of war? Where's the declaration, where's the enemy, and what's the authorisation?
