<I don't believe America was sold a bill of goods on WMD. >

Even King George II has admitted, as seen on tv, that the WMD information might not have been totally 100% accurate.

Somebody was making something up Thomas. That's called a bill of goods. Americans swallowed, hook, line and sinker.

The WOT is a reality, so is the war on cancer, and the war on drugs. So far, drugs are winning by a mile. Cancer is holding its own, winning in some quarters and losing in others.

Cigarettes are still killing hordes more than the WOT [good guys and evil-doers combined]. The cost of combat in the war on drugs is huge and pointless. Leave people to poison themselves if they want to. It'll go out of fashion if it isn't illegal and so exciting to be one of the cool people doing daring illegal stuff. Not many centuries ago, opium and cocaine and everything was a matter of individual choice. Not many people chose to poison themselves.

Cancer is finishing off hordes of people [apart from cigarette-induced cancer].

The WOT is a silly little sideshow, 911 notwithstanding. In the grand scheme of things, the Twin Tower destruction was minuscule. Sure, Islamic Jihad is a bit of a hassle, but let's not go overboard, shooting anyone who looks or acts a bit odd.

I don't know what you are going on about here:
<Any equivocation denial about hitler being bad is simply some expression of dementia.> That's common knowledge [that Adolf wasn't going to be winning the Nobel Peace Prize]. Maybe you are completely confused and think I was saying Adolf wasn't such a bad bloke. My point was that he was in good company, well supported, and many people today, including many in SI, exhibit the same underpinnings [I won't mention any names].

The PNAC has more than a hint of Adolfism about it, especially when foreigners aren't considered proper humans and waterboarding [a Nazi past-time too] are added in. Should torture be illegal or not? What a conundrum? The President is a-ok with it, sort of, as long as they are evil-doers, who don't need a trial to determine such a thing. It wasn't a 99 to 1 decision against. And these are the good times. Heard of Abu Ghraib?
