Wicklund Holding Co. agreement brings national product distribution

International Plastics, the exclusively licensed sales company of Lexington, Ky.-based Wicklund Holding Co. (OTC Pink Sheets: WKDH), has engaged BlueLinx Corp. as the national distributor of Wicklund's rebar support products.

BlueLinx earlier this month completed an acquisition of the assets of the building products distribution business of Georgia-Pacific Corp. in a management buyout that included Cerberus Capital Management L.P., a New York City-based, private investment firm.

"This is an exclusive relationship for our companies, which will for the first time provide for the national distribution of our rebar supports," James Turek, president of Wicklund Holding Co., said in a news release.

"This opens the concrete construction market so our products will be available on a daily basis for use by all contractors. ... Prior to this agreement, our products where not accessible to smaller contractors or independent contractors," said Turek.

Wicklund's patented technology supports rebar during the pouring of concrete and becomes part of concrete structures such as bridges, highways, hospitals, shopping centers and multistory buildings.
