Someone asked where I thought the thread stood politically now. The thread is MUCH more partisan than I intended from the beginning, but I asked a few weeks ago if anyone wanted me to change that and no one replied publicly or via PM. We have a balance of ardent people on the left and the right, I think (4-5 of each plus some wanderers in the middle). As long as the debate seems balanced, fair and polite, I will accede to the majority's wishes and let the partisanship continue. We have some interesting discussions here in a civil atmosphere. If the thread accomplishes nothing else, that is worthwhile. Just a warning, however. If the partisanship becomes personal attacks, it's game over for the poster. I also banned GerryMander for general incoherence and nonsense. Doesn't add anything to the thread.
