Speaker Livington (R) was forced to resign in a sex scandal. It was payback for Whitewater, not by the Dems, but by Larry Flynt. Livingston resigned before the scandal broke. It was wrong, but the creeps and liars who pushed Whitewater were responsible. Whitewater was a national disgrace. That little land deal they lost money on. $40,000. Cleasred of all charges. But then the partisan prosecutor quickly switched the investigation into Clinton's personal sex life. Why? Because he wanted to. Because he was a rightwinger. Whitewater was the beginning of the ugliness, lies and corruption we see all around us now. It was the opening shot in the rightwing coup d'etat, smearing our most successful president, then cheating to steal elections and exploiting war and terrorist to brand any opponents as "traitors". When they were the ones AWOL on counter-terrorism.
