Mainly what the other side did was to prove that Clinton had what many people would call sex with a young woman, although he said that he didn't.

I know that for many people, especially for Republicans, Clinton's having sex with Monica was a no-no. And the Republicans sure did a good job proving that this no-no really happened. Not much was left for the imagination to fill in, though no doubt the investigators wished that there had been video tapes made inside the White House, much as Nixon had those audio tapes. From the point of view of Kenneth Starr, it was a terrible shame that it was Monica and not Paris Hilton who was interning.
