Look, Freep, your free advice is sweet and all, but I don't find it of value (hint: it's insulting and smarmy). WLD is responsible for his own words and I am obviously responsible for defence of my reputation.
For you to say the WLD "clearly doesn't know what he's doing and worse, he presents himself as someone who does, literally encouraging others to act like gamblers rather than traders" is flat out wrong.
Wrong? How's that? How much money have YOU made picking tops? If he doesn't want to encourage irresponsible trading, then he shouldn't clearly imply that taking no position (in lieu of trading counter-trend during the most positive time of the year, no less!) somehow shows a lack of confidence in one's own analysis. I mean he makes it clear that he has contempt for me because I advise a lower risk approach than shorting a market near new highs going into CHRISTMAS! So if some neophyte trader doens't want the contempt of the "expert" <chuckle> Mssr. Win-Lose-Draw, one had better take any old short position if one see risk in the sentiment.
I'll state here that the implications of his words are DANGEROUS to the wealth of any would be trader. The implications are irresponsible. And even if he WASN'T acting improperly and insultingly, I'd still say the same thing as a public service.
That you would defend him should give anyone pause. What should be occurring is a retraction and clarification, but I've been around enough to know THAT's not likely. After all, I play the odds. I'm sure it COULD be wrong and WLD DOES know what he's doing, but I see no evidence of such from this last post.
This is nonsense, in any case. I'd rather enjoy a good lunch and wait for my next trade opportunity. It's coming...check out the sentiment...TTFN.
