Covered calls for XOM

Someone(sorry, I forget who) expressed an interest a while ago as to how I would do with selling covered calls in XOM. I think I claimed I could make 20% per year and he was a disbeliever. Well, here are the results I just calculated:

I bought XOM on 6/27 for 58.84, very recent price is 58.00, showing a loss of 1.43%

The total I made by selling and some times buying back covered calls over this period is $3.90 per share, which is a return of 6.63% over approximately six months.

So, not 20%, but about 13 to 14% over a year. If I get better at timing, I still think I can make 20%. I have 2000 shares so profited almost $8000.
