My prognosis of AMAT is based on watching the many splits of this stock over a period of 30 years.

Since February 1991 there has been 3 stock splits. If you bought the stock then and held the stock, you would have a cost basis of about $2.50 per share after the current split.

As I recall, after each split, there was a slight retrenchment and then the stock took off again.

This is a growth company in the finest sense of the word. This is a leader in an industry still in its infancy.

But, some illustrative figures, why I think there will be a signifigant rise in the stock by the end of the year.

The demand for advanced 0.25 micron and below will be filled by the leader, AMAT.

AMAT has a broad range of technologies for 300mm wafer processing and has already shipped 300mm Epi and RTP systems and have many other products in advanced stages of development If you are a chipmaker
and want to modernize your product, you are most likely to go to the leader, AMAT, for help.

Most of my figures come from the company report. From what I have stated, I think 120 by the end of the year is a good bet. You may disagree, but that is why we have horse races.
