Ah, I see. I'm less aware of what exactly an anarchist is. Communists at least attempted to run states. Anarchists seem to be more into destruction (not that communists weren't either :)!) Libertarians offer a serious ideal for a functional state.

The interconnection is the marketplace. Uncontrived rather than contrived interconnection, but interconnection nonetheless.

That is in fact the general libertarian philosophy, which is why I consider it half-baked. Economics is only a fraction of life's interactions. You might consider the total history of life on earth, including the lengthy span of our own species, vs. the length of time that monetary interactions have existed. The vast history of our species is sans economics. Even cultures into the current time have existed functionally without it. So the libertarian/economic approach to life is definitely a recent evolution. It may fare well or poor, time will tell. It has not been given a good test yet IMO.

Unfortunately, libertarian methods work best under sparser populations, where the interconnections are weaker. For example, the conquest of the American west was a good example of libertarian principles (from a white mans POV!). But the future looks a bit bleaker given population dynamics. Look at the Red/Blue issues in the USA and how they correlate with population density, then ask yourself what the future holds.

Whats interesting is that the spare density Reds are generally anti population control, hence they embrace their own demise meanwhile thinking that things are shifting their way due to having more kids. I actually read a rightwing pundits gloating along those lines!
