"There is resistance to the idea that the president can act like a dictator."

We all have this. But some of us need evidence that he is doing that. How do you think that tracking the international phone calls of terrorists that we are at war with is being a dictator? Looks way more like he is being a Commander In Chief to me, and fulfilling his Constitutional obligation to protect American citizens.

Even if your side is correct that FISA (or whatever it is called) does supersede the constitution and is meant to prevent quick action on Intenational calls to and from terrorists we are at war with, why would you think it better to side with the terrorists? Why not just work with the opposing side in a closed session to clarify and correct if necesary.

This position of attacking our CinC as a crook when he is protecting Americans is a loser for the dem party. Just on a practical sense I would think they would shy away from calling him a crook as some have, like the formerly respectable Russ Feingold. I expect the trash we hear from Boxer, because she is a hater. But you guys will hurt yourself as a party with this one. And alienate fellow Americans who think it is a good idea to track international calls of our avowed enemy (which is most Americans btw).
