Rural areas are well known to be less tolerant of governmental regulation. Urban areas are much more tolerant. This is so well known that I'm surprised you would suggest otherwise. I didn't. I said that the agora works best where there are more people. I didn't speak to whether people living in low population rural areas were more or less libertarian than those in high density population areas. We're talking about two different things. Look at the Red/Blue divide in the USA in general and how that correlates to population density. Likewise here. I don't know how cities being more socially libertarian and rural areas being more property libertarian speaks to the question of the effectiveness of the agora. If you're having trouble thinking of libertarianism without the business or Darwinian overtones, maybe thinking of it as decentralized rather than centralized decision making would resonate more.
