That's just your opinion... Your ancestors came from Europe, period. I'm sure you'll be able to sift through Edinburgh's or Manchester's city archives and dig up official records pertaining to "Mr and Mrs Sennett". Just because your forefathers forcibly displaced the natives and settled in Jo'burg a mere 200 years ago doesn't clinch it, Searle.... As for those whom you dismiss as "late immigrants", you're right insofar as illegals are concerned yet wrong as far as second- and third-generation youths are concerned. The former, mind you, are mercilessly, routinely, rounded up by Spain's, France's, and Italy's border patrols, herded into "concentration camps" and eventually shipped back to their African wastelands... For that matter, there was a fuss in Belgium last week over the decision by the Office des Etrangers to deny refugee status to a Mongol mother and her son --both were whisked away to Schiphol, in neighboring Holland, to board a plane to Ulan Bator-- to the rage and fury of a local grassroot support committee that wanted both to stay in Belgium.(*) Anyway, my point is that most Europeans of African or Arab descent are as entitled to consider themselves as full-fledged Europeans as you are to fancy yourself "African"....
