I suppose its possible.

Secondly, for those who are here anyway for whatever reason, presumably their children would apply for US citizenship when they come of age

If their parents aren't Americans and they don't have birthright citizenship, do they have to leave the country to apply since they are here illegally?

If we have a guest worker program

I didn't realize that was assumed. If we have no such program would you still strongly support abolishing "birthright citizenship"?

It would be easier to convince me if it was just a legal change required, rather than a constitutional change.
