Dunno, Tim. That's one of the details that would have to be worked out. I wouldn't make them do that. I'd probably give them an easy path to citizenship when they came of age althought I would need to give that more thought.

I didn't realize that was assumed. If we have no such program would you still strongly support abolishing "birthright citizenship"?

It's less important without the guest worker program. Keeping illegals out would be much easier with the other provisions so that the anchor baby wouldn't be as frequent an event. But if you allow a guest worker program, you'd have to change the citizenship criterion or we'd end up right where we are now. I don't see how we can do a guest worker program without it.
