I've got some bullion, some gold coins (pre-1933), and some gold and silver shares (mostly in tax-advantaged retirement accounts). What exactly do you expect in the next year (that I assume you're likening to Weimar Germany)? Will I be using bullion for trade instead of greenbacks?

I'm not being snide, but am looking for the type of scenario that you believe is imminent. Frankly, public and private debt levels and the never-ending printing of dollars all have me ready for anything, but I'm looking for your assessment of what you believe "anything" is.
