That describes me as well, except I have my 401K and a lot of home equity (but no flood insurance). I imagine it applies to a lot of people who have income and wealth beyond what we would normally consider "working class". (Which I've understood to mean lower middle class, possible with the addition of the upper lower class "working poor" who have regular full time jobs.)

If something like what happened in New Orleans hit Fairfax County, I might have to declare bankruptcy since I'd have to pay a mortgage without having a house.
