LSBC ceases operations:

>>VACAVILLE, Calif. (AP) -- Biotech company Large Scale Biology Corp. shares were halted on Thursday after the company said that it ran out of cash and would cease operations.
The company said all employees would be terminated effective Friday.

"Despite our efforts to generate revenue, obtain debt and equity funding, and sell or license selected assets at reasonable prices, our revenue and liquid assets are not sufficient to sustain our current operations," Kevin Ryan, president and chief executive officer, said in a prepared statement.

Shares of Large Scale Biology were halted at $1.41 in afternoon trading after the news came out. Earlier in the day, the company said that it would be delisted by the Nasdaq next Tuesday because of several compliance issues.<<

Can't say this is a surprise, but it's a bit sad. Two or three years ago, I predicted a slow death spiral, and here we are.

Not gloating, it was not a hard prediction to make.

Cheers, Tuck
