Off to Morocco for the holidays...Zack thoughts..; Merry Christmas and Season's Greeting. btw this is 502nd posting ... Counterintuitively I shall be celebrating Xmas in a Muslim country and strangely enough I've been doing that for the past three years. Next year hopefully I'll spend it in Paris... For me though the main holiday of the period, beyond Xmas and the New Year, is the Winter Solstice. I find that celebrating the change of season on the 21st of March, June, September and December are perhaps the best holidays... We've thrown 5 parties to celebrate these seasonal milestones and the fact that they are every three months means that they're not too early or too late. Human Beings need to have a perspective; some people have a 5yr plan, which is too long term, and thinking from a monthly perspective is short sighted. However planning with a seasonal climatic change; means that every three months you can reevaluate your lifestyle and rethink one's goals. A happy median all around, which is why I give parties on these dates (or somewhere around them) so that people establish a memory of such things... latif.blogspot.com
