AP Novavax Gets $8 Million Drug Payment Friday December 23, 7:39 am ET Novavax Receives $8 Million Estrasorb Payment From Esprit Pharma MALVERN, Pa. (AP) -- Biotech company Novavax Inc. said Friday that it received its second cash payment from Esprit Pharma Inc. for North American rights to Estrasorb topical estrogen therapy. Novavax received a cash payment of $8 million from Esprit, bringing total payments under the agreement to $10 million. Under the agreement, which was signed in October, Novavax will receive another payment of $2.5 million at the agreement's one-year anniversary. Shares of Novavax were up 2.3 percent in premarket trading at $4.06, compared with the Thursday close of $3.97 on the Nasdaq.
