1146 GMT [Dow Jones] The global copper market is to remain in a deficit of
100,000 tons in 2006 before moving into a surplus through 2007, UBS analyst
says. LME stocks are still very low by historical standards, less than two
days' consumption, as supply side underperforms and operating problems keep
market tight, UBS adds. "With producers operating flat-out to maximize output
at a time of very high prices the likelihood of further supply interruptions
remains high," UBS says. (ADH)
