I think the key here is that this is old news to both CLI and VTEL.They have long been a aware of the suit(filed on Dec 20,1993) and it was factored in when VTEL acquired CLI.
I understand that VTEL had a similar lawsuit and settled the lawsuit with DATAPOINT a few yeas ago. I'm not privy to the details.
