Some more news for this dead thread:

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 15, 1997--USCS International Inc. (Nasdaq:USCS) today announced that its CableData, Inc.
subsidiary and Portuguese cable operator Intercabo have signed an agreement under which Intercabo will utilize CableData's Intelecable customer management and
billing system to support its new cable television services.

A significant entrant in the emerging Portuguese cable television marketplace, Intercabo has been aggressively formulating and implementing its new-build operation
for the past year. A wholly owned operation of United and Philips Communications (UPC), Intercabo is offering basic cable services, with a goal of upgrading to
premium service packages as the network continues to expand throughout the 777,000 homes in its franchise area. Intelecable, the world's first customer
management and billing solution for converged-services markets, is meeting Intercabo's current cable services needs and will continue to support the Company's
longer-range plans to add interactive services and telephony to its customer offerings.

The agreement with Intercabo solidifies CableData's position as the leading supplier of customer management and billing systems in Portugal. TV Cabo, Portugal's
national television company and largest cable operator, also uses the Intelecable system to serve a base of over 202,000 of Portugal's 365,000 current total
subscribers. In 1994, cable services were launched on a national scale, with the goal of connecting all of Portugal's 3 million TV households by the end of the
century. By late 1996, four major groups of operators, including Intercabo, had begun offering cable services in 26 franchise areas.

First installed in 1993 at Birmingham Cable Ltd (BCL), Intelecable is currently deployed in nearly 80 installations worldwide. Intelecable supports video, voice, data,
and interactive services from a single relational database. Encompassing more than 100 integrated programs, Intelecable supports business-critical functions in a
multiple-service, transaction-intensive environment and excels at meeting data access requirements. A multi-tiered application, Intelecable is distinguished by its open
architecture and range of distributed Application Program Interfaces (APIs), which enable new services to be added quickly.
