The last that I heard, Alberta’s oil and gas resources belong to the people of Alberta, not the people of Canada, and more specifically Not the Federal Government of Canada.

Are Western Canadian provinces (and Northern Territories) still considered Colonies by those in Upper and Lower (and Atlantic) Canada?

Too many Albertans remember Trudeau’s National Energy Program.
For those that don’t remember, Alberta got to sell its oil and gas resource products to the Rest of Canada at deeply discounted prices, while Albertans didn’t get to purchase any products from the Rest of Canada at ANY discount.
The NEP devastated Alberta’s economy at the time.
A similar Federal program likely ain’t gonna happen again.

Back away from those taps… They’re ours not yours.
