Here are a few alternates: stop exporting cars to the US...no more potato products until those nasty americans pay full price for our wood.....no more low quality planes and trains crossing the south border....skidoos??? no fucking way, let them suffer thru winter with Jap machines and Polaris sleds. Blackberries???? out!! NO MORE EXPORTS. Cheap eastern wines..no way...let them try to get by with California stuff (added benefit here is we are offering subliminal support to our new best friends the french because after all they were too unfairly hurt by the vicious American boycott....NO MORE HOCKEY STICKS...that wil bring them to their knees ( statcan.ca ) The burden of a trade embargo shouldn't be laid to rest totally on the east...the west can help too. We could stop exporting our drugs to the US.... now we have a truly unified canadian solution. The best way to deal with trade disputes with the Americans is to not let liberals near it. If even the threat of holding back western owned resources is made by the liberals, you can expect that the liberal created national unity issue in Quebec (two referendums were held on the liberal watch...hows that for a record of fighting evil separatists pauly?) will be nothing compared to the one they will perpetuate in the West. "Let the eastern bastards freeze in the dark" is still echoing in the mountains here.
