You may be right, Jim. I don't think anybody really knows, actually. I feel like you. Some times when I see major road or bridge projects lined out I ever feel that same way, doing a fast count, how old will/would I bee and how much I would like to witness it.

Just take the mission to Mars, no doubt most surprising stuff will be found - and found out. Personally I am convinced that fossile traces of life will be found and most likely even - life. Will I be there to witness it? Most likely not ;)
My kids will, some comfort. But I wouldn't know.
