When we walked on the moon thirty years ago, I was SURE we'd have colonies on Mars by now. I'd much rather see us lead in that direction than to foreign wars. We need a leader to set us a national goal as Kennedy did, and to inspire Americans to want it too. As it is now, the first Martian colony might be Chinese..
