I have no idea what a million tons of ore looks like either! The veins that I was able to see were mostly 1 meter in width or smaller, although in some cases there were several clusters of veins exposed over a short length of drifting that I surveyed. The true enormity of the mine is better illustrated however by imagining walking for over a kilometer along an unlit tunnel just to get to the shaft, and then dropping about 15 stories (out of 18 that were open at that time) to get to another long series of tunnels before I came out at the business end of the workings. Michel's strategy is to open numerous working access points at various levels along the vein system so they can muck out enough ore to keep a larger tonnage operation running.

Michel has indicated to me that they have already intercepted skarn at the lower levels of the mine. This could be a small lense at the edge of an intrusion, but it could very well be the upper extension of a large contact ore body that would totaly change the production profile for ECU.

Based on the last NR, I notice that another tranch of the PP is going to close next month, so I will by trying to get a piece of that before it closes. I think we are literaly working the tip of the iceberg at Velardena, and even though it is a small property, there are mines on the holdings that ECU has not even begun to put back into production, let alone the potential for bulk tonnage ore awaiting discovery at depth. The ballooning share structure is a concern to me, but the company stil looks cheap.
