Hi Bob,

I didn't mean to imply that there won't be news stories, just that there aren't many right now, and that may be part of the reason that the ADR share price has not risen the way we all think it should have :-). If the media starts picking up virtual pets as THE Christmas toy, then yes we'll see tons of news stories in all forms of media (and wouldn't that be great!). And virtual pets are showing every indication of being THE toy. The Toys R Us near me has had a run on Tamagotchis (and Nano Pets and GigaPets) ever since those toys were first stocked in May, usually with hours of their being stocked. I was getting worried that demand might drop off before Christmas season, but now I realize that the start of the season is only a month away and there won't be any problem with demand dropping off in that short a time.

I was just playing devil's advocate with my previous comments on supply/demand. I tend to agree with Truman's view that there just isn't enough manufacturing capacity available to keep up with the amazingly huge demand seen so far.

As far as Bandai goes, fundamental information is very difficult to find. Bandai is traded on NASDAQ as an ADR. The symbol is BNDCY. The ADR is worth 1/4 of the price of a real share which is traded in Japan. As far as any of us here can tell, the ADR price is only updated once a day, usually in the evening. Yahoo never has any news or market research or anything on the ADR. The best way to find news about Bandai or Tamagotchis (Bandai's specific brand of virtual pet) is to search the business news section of Infoseek. The only fundamental information I have found on Bandai is on their web site. That information is very much outdated and pretty useless for showing how Tamagotchis are affecting the company in recent quarters.

Truman, as always, thank you for the extra information and insight you bring to this thread! Bob, thanks for your input. It's nice to have a fresh voice and perspective here.

Kirk
