Guilty!
On Wednesday, after just 1 hour of deliberations, Larry Allan Stockett was found guilty on fraud charges.
The trial commenced Tuesday Dec. 13 with jury selection, and then the prosecution presented its case outline.
The lead witness was a man from the Toronto area who, with his wife, was swindled first out of $500,000 and then an additional $200,000 not long after. The first siphoning was for the worthless stock and the 2nd installment was for a warehouse purchase deal where the witness and his wife would be partners of Larry's in buying a warehouse purportedly then being leased by Levi Strauss, the Levi's folks.
The prosecution rested on Friday, there was no action on Monday, and the defense mounted its case on Tuesday - they were claiming that Larry himself was a victim. I wonder who victimized him, deejayii or cantgetmyname or scotty vinson?
After rolling on the floor while considering Larry's defense the jury finally took a vote, the fat lady sang, and Larry will be sentenced some time in March.
