How would you differentiate? I'm scratching my head wondering what assets might be willed to a beneficiary that wouldn't grow independently. If you leave a house or a stock or some art, those should continue to appreciate. Maybe with a house you have to maintain it but with a stock you don't. Is that how you differentiate? With art, I suppose you could say that some maintenance is needed keeping it safe and protected from damaging climates so I wouldn't know which column to put that in.
