Sam, as we all remember, one of Eli's key points over the years has been that what is good for NAND in general is good for SNDK. Anything which would indicate that an organization as forward-looking as Sony is engineering more and more NAND into it's products is simply good news, period.

Falling back on tired old phrases: A rising tide lifts all ships; the same proportional piece of a bigger pie is a bigger piece overall; market demand by leaders begets market demand from followers...etc., etc.

I agree with Slacker and you....very good news. Remember Eli's comment to the Mintel deal - - "Maybe we'll buy from them someday". Demand is in the driver's seat, which is just where we want it.

I also hope this little tidbit from Micron quoted in the article was not missed:

Micron's Chief Executive Steve Appleton told a Reuters Summit last month that the industry would move in coming years to using flash memory instead of hard disk drives for primary storage devices in notebook computers.
