Gaza Shift

Israel completed its pull-out from the Gaza Strip in August, ending a 38-year occupation of the region. In late November, the Palestinian government celebrated the opening of the Rafah border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, marking the first time the government controlled a border with another country.
