1. Perhaps you are not able to think outside the box.

2. Perhaps this limits your ability to see the potential to see the possibilities.

3. Other companies are doing this, as well as MSFT. (To name a few CSCO, DELL and INTC)

4. Perhaps you should talk to a financial accountant and ask him the various ways that one can arrive at different answers for the P and E parameters in the ratio.

5. Perhaps you should talk with the SEC since now they have even stated that due to the changing nature of high tech industries such as Software and Biotech, traditional methods of valuation may not represent the best valuation method.
