Hey! Cool! That intro does kinda take the intellectual edge off our oh-so-learned posts. Disclaimer: penni knows nothing about artsy movies either. I love books about little people with little lives feeling big things, like Shipping News and Anne Tyler's work. That's why I loved Babette's Feast and The Big Night and this was a bit like that. Except it was all so unhealthy. And the end left me befuddled. A good friend saw it and watched 20 minutes before she and her husband decided they weren't smart enough and turned it off. And like, wow, I'm pretty bad at this stuff.
