John, their financial system is NOT going to collapse. They owe themselves some yuan and they have a bunch of deadbeat state enterprises to wean off the collective tit -- and all of that will mean some write downs. But compared our stupendous foreign debt and unfunded future liabilities, their financial system will emerge far stronger than our public finances. THE multinational financials will be in China as well. Bottom line -- don't waste your time worrying about the Chinese banks.
