It's the Manson girls syndrome.
It's the same reason the Jones followers drank
the kool-aid.
There are simply a lot of aimless sheep in
the world undergoing perpetual existential crises.
They form the ranks of the used.
And are damned dangerous because the first thing
they lose after autonomy is humanity.
Otherwise they could not be parties to
mindless--and brutal---killing.
