I suppose so and it's because they are bad news -- both Jewish and Christian. It was one thing making a sanctuary, homeland, call it what you will, for the Jewish people after WW2, but fifty years later the situation with the Palestinians is still not settled and is, in fact, the fundamental reason for 9/11 and the war in Iraq. If you read the PNAC and the Clean Break documents, both written by the neocons, you will see that US foreign policy has been designed around Israel's "security" which involves both the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians and the expansion of Israel into the neighbouring countries through war etc. It doesn't say so exactly but one can see the common thread. This whole concept is regarded as the War on Terrorism and in this war the US acts as Israel's "big brother" -- but with the same policy. As you know, this war was started with 9/11, a major "black op" designed to put the blame on people who were not even involved.
