AFFX Is having a good upmove that started with an upgap after announcing a four-year research collaboration between Perlegen and PFE.<g> bigcharts.marketwatch.com Researchers from both companies will conduct whole genome studies involving DNA samples from clinical trials. Perlegen will conduct the genotyping, of the DNA on the individual samples, using AFFX's GeneChip technology. PFE will provide research payments to Perlegen and both companies will share in intellectual property rights resulting from the collaboration.
