I did check some earlier replies; it seems that in Switzerland you can just take your bullion coins into most banks and change them, and in Canada the Bank of Nova Scotia is ready to take your maple leafs. Also, you can sell your coins at coin shows; I guess if you checked the latest quotes you wouldn't get cheated too badly.
