Jeeze Ted, if you work for yourself you have to fund 100% of your pension. So the government funded stuff just out competes the private sector. The private sector has to promise unrealistic pensions just to get workers. Trouble is that the private sector doesn't have the power to tax or print money to make good on it. See the problem?

I can assure you, in NYC, the bennies are super good.
